Local Immigration Partnership (LIP)

The Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) is a special initiative to facilitate the integration of immigrant newcomers into the community. LIP members are local employers and service providers who play important role in the integration process and work together to make the integration process faster and smoother. The current LIP Council members are:

  • Kathy Handley, Campus Administrator, Northern Lights College

  • Jane Drew, Program Coordinator, Settlement Workers at School (SWIS), School Board # 60

  • Panebi Oboh, President, Pan-African Caribbean Association

  • Gill Azreer, Care Coordinator, Northern Health

  • Janice Van Dolah, Public Relations and Social Media Specialist, NP Savings and Credit Union

  • Tariq Elnaga, Manager, Diversity & Employment Equity, Spectra Energy

  • Colin Chadwick, General Manager, Staples Ltd.

  • Matt Preprost, Editor, Alaska Highways News

  • Morgan Churchill, Head of Child Programs, FSJ Public Library
